Prototype 4

Prototype 4 continues to refine the form of the clock. The case is cut from a single block of walnut. It’s a nice upgrade from the earlier prototypes made from cedar. The increased hardness of the wood enables more precise milling and the grain really shines with a thin coat of furniture oil. This is the first version that feels like an object of quality.

It's important to get this right because we’re asking artists to integrate the clock into their practice and workspace. The fit and finish of the device should inspire its users and they should be proud to display it.
